Just bitten through their skulls and some half eaten, not a nice scene to find! I put it down to a disturbance in the night.even the calmest of Jills can turn when they have young. Quote Link to post

I put it down to a disturbance in the night.even the calmest of Jills can turn when they have young. jarvis you made the point ferrets are very touchy when they have given birth to there young,leave them well alone is best imo- no sneek peeking. also feed up on run up to birth and dont worry about cleaning hutch so much at this time. you will just piss the her off make her unsettled and she will start eating em and killing. i was always told off for wanting to see if she had em when a young kid. even though some jills didnt mind it didnt change the fact its risky messing and disturbing them too much. feed up well and plenty of water so you dont need to mess with em.. keep dogs and stuff away and busy areas for the hutch.. put the hutch out the way of disturbance. doing this will reduce problems.
