On my very first driving lesson, my instructor told me that, and it's stuck with me ever since - "assume everyone else is an idiot"..........number of years driving - nearly 30, number of accidents - nil ! Must be good advice........

If it was not for my job, where without a car I cannot work, I would honestly give up driving. The standard of driving today is abysmal. We all make mistakes and if it is something trivial we usually

It doesn't annoy me, I was just confused as to why lorry drivers do it. I can understand fo other lorry drivers but like you say. For my Ford Mondeo its not as crucial.

I know I took the piss but I do have a lot of respect for Hauliers. Its a job I couldn't do.

I don't drive, I walk or cycle. Cross country when possible.

However I do have one major complaint....

At night drivers that don't dip their lights for people walking/cycling. where there are no paths I have no choice but to use the road, I wear high viz so you can see me, but I kind of need my retinas intact if I am to be able to get out of your way!
