Lab 10,979
Have a walk around and see where it's coming in, chances are there will be some well used route....get a snare banged down and you'll get it. 3 Quote Link to post

stop.end 4,082
get someone with a working terrier to have a walk around the perimeter of the area where the chickens are with you, it may very well be a vixen nursing and you would want to make sure to get any cubs along with her..... that's the most humane and effective way you will get your predator...tried and tested over hundreds of years. unclepesta 101
if you got runs then use restraining wires just keep em high and set em clear of tangle points..generally no problems with cats unless setting fences or low points, your more likely to catch cats in rabbit snares than high fox ones. theres always exceptions but with relaxing locks and deer stop you should have a live one anyway. what fun lol. 1 Quote Link to post
Squirrel_Basher 17,100
This bloody thing never read any scripts on snare heights .Caught him 4 times before i gave up snaring there .The gloves may seem over the top but believe me by the 4th catch he was pissed. 2 Quote Link to post
