BGD 6,436
Now that opinion may be abhorrent to a vast majority but they should still be allowed to voice it IMHO as you are able to do in the United States mate. That is incorrect I am afraid mate, we are forcibly and by law not allowed to give voice to an opinion that SOMEONE else deems offensive to a person they may never have met. Your rights to free speech are live and well. The government's interpretation of them is flawed. You still have the right to speak with the same ferocity that they do. Really so if I decided to go and burn the Paki flag and speak out against Islam on the city streets, my rights to freedom of speech would be upheld would they? More bollocks, you are living in a dream world mate. Oh yeah I remember when the EDL were rounded up in mass arrests and sent down for years for speaking out against Islam. Oh wait that didn't happen because you have exactly the same rights to speak out against Islam as they do to speak out against the west.

Sorry mate, but that's just not true......here is a little tale from earlier in the year. A lad lent another lad his season ticket for a hammers game as he had to work and couldn't make the match. So his pal heads off to the game and during the game he shouts some abuse with reference to colour ( silly maybe, but it's always happened and it's hardly crime of the century) Anyway, someone obviously complains and the seat number is picked up on CCTV. 6am Tuesday morning the lad who lent his ticket out has his front door took off the hinges with a battering ram closely followed by a load of old bill.......the lad happened to have already gone to work but his Mrs is a teacher and was getting ready for work. She said they treated her like some sort of serial killer not allowing her out of the kitchen !! The lad has to come home, be arrested and it all finally gets sorted out hours later in the cop shop!! True story mate from March this year........still think we have freedom ?

More bollocks, you are living in a dream world mate. There are many people that speak out against Islam in England already. They're not in prison. The dream world is the Islamic nation that just isn't coming to Britain... Sorry. Will you be converting to Islam? Indeed we could mate and maybe I am being much too simple about things but I don't think it's too much to ask when someone chooses to live in a country to just fit in and attempt to carry on the same as the rest of the indigenous population, speak the language, behave in same way as the culture you have come to live amongst? These people want none of these things in large areas of Our cities.......it's there to see plain as the nose on your face and to add insult to injury laws are made to stop the Indiginous people saying anything about it. Can't argue with that at all. I wouldn't dream of attempting to get the country to mold itself to my every whim. That would be ridiculous. I also agree with what you're saying regarding Britains inner city areas. I've lived and worked in them too, I'm not completely removed from the problem. My issue is the ideology which is causing, what I see as, all of the problems! The people we elect to run our affairs are absolutely fu*king terrible at what they do. They have allowed the circumstances to get woefully out of control, and to deteriorate into what it now is. So why aren't they under the spotlight? I doubt any here would convert to any religion, either willfully or under duress, so what's the worry? Sorry mate, but that's just not true......here is a little tale from earlier in the year. True story mate from March this year........still think we have freedom ? Has he been charged? I agree it's hardly the crime of the century but is it okay to yell abuse at a black player? I'm not talking about whether he was shit at his job but whether it's okay to call someone out based on their skin colour? Football clubs take a really dim view of that. WILF 46,794
I lived in and around London all my life upto 3 months ago, I used to work on the market and later on in life I also used to work all over and at all hours of the day......you get to see it all. And I am sorry, but people can say what they like but I know what I see in front of my own eyes.....I saw what a mass change to the demographic did to a pretty traditional little Essex town in the space of 10 years. Don't tell me it's all a figment cause I know it's real, first hand experience, on the market, in the city and in my home town. 25% towards a mortgage they were given to move off the valuable ground their shithouse tower blocks were sitting on in Tower Hamlets and pointed in the direction of semi rural essex. The council offices would close at 5 and reopen at 6 so that ordinary people couldn't see all the immigrants coming in for their money !!.....I know, I was there trying get my work done and had to wait and was told it all had to be kept hush hush. All facts, not perceived fiction I am afraid gentlemen.
mushroom 12,921
Islam like all oppressive ideologies and religions is a virus wherever it goes. People scream bollocks about 200 years of British past atrocities etc they pale in comparison to the last 15 years of islam. They feckers and the rest of the world would be speaking German and nip if it wasn't for us and our Gaelic cousins. Jewish agenda, world order political agenda etc all crap! Reality is here boys and girls and its right under your noses and the smell is getting worse Edited June 22, 2015 by mushroom

Born Hunter 17,763
Generally I'm inclined to agree with Chris on this. Though it's not in any doubt that the authorities will apply pressure to certain parts of society over others to suit their agenda.... If the public let them! Only thing I'll add, imo we don't have any rights, we have privileges. As far as I'm concerned we gave up our rights at the same time we gave up our right to bear arms. About the only aspect of the Bill of Rights not considered sacred. That's the cornerstone of freedom and we pissed it up the wall for bigger government and more welfare. Who wants responsibility and self sufficiency, when you can depend on someone else for it. But I'm just a gun nut. Edited June 22, 2015 by Born Hunter

The difference here, is the constitution. Inalienable rights. Britain has a privilege variation but it's poorly understood. Poorly enforced but you still have the same rights as they do.
