Permethrin Dust

Recommended Posts

I don't like using ficam to much as by the end of the wasp season my face tingles and I get cold spots on it. While I am constantly trying to reduce my exposure to it I have also bought a tub of the vulcan permethrin dust....has anyone else used it as a wasp dust and also for bees and bedbugs? How does it compare? I'm aware it will excite wasps so will keep ficam for the more public nests

As a rule,..pest control applications are not exactly rocket science,...it is customer relations and one's personality and behaviour towards the customer, that helps to preserve longevity in the busin

Try understanding what I was getting at... I didn't say I'd rather get stung than use PPE. I said I'd rather take a sting than risk heatstroke. Something I don't find dickish in the slightest.   You

It's pretty good for bumble bees, but keep your head down if you're using it for wasps. As for bed-bugs, it's fine for dusting electrical sockets etc.

I've noticed pyrethrins tend to agitate the target... I've used aerosols as a flushing agent too. Very handy against bed bugs when you're not sure whether you're getting them all.

Pissing off wasps was part of the job... If they're covered in white they won't last a shite! ;)

Suit up and carry plenty of water with you. I've had a few mild stings through my suit and it's not good when I've been digging nests out of the ground.

Being withdrawn this year too tho I believe! It's good but can make them wasps a bit lively!

Overalls are a bit much Shropshire mole, I only wear a sheriff half suit and am only in a shirt underneath unless it's a big un then I put a jumper on. Haven't been stung for years!

You should never dust sockets etc with anything other than D E!!!!, what happens if a sparky comes along and has to work on the sockets and they are full of insecticide? same under carpets unless you can hoover it all up after completion of treatment.

Just something to think about in my opinion.
