dan john 82
Mine don't really catch prefer them bolting and watch the lurcher work them Quote Link to post
morton 5,368
Is there many lads on here that just simply go out with the bushers an hope to catch some in cover?no gun or lurcher. My bushers sometimes connect, realisticly that is not their purpose especially as most of what they connect with would not be fit to eat.To me the point in owning a busher is for it to put things in front of a gun or more capable catcher. RussBoy 77
Another nice pic mate. Don't have Lurchers anymore just going to stick to the ratching about game an do with the odd 1's that are caught in cover Quote Link to post
Truther 1,579
The best catch dog in cover iv'e ever seen was a mates Cairn type terrier, hardly any leg on it, but it could steam through rabbits runs like a greased weasel, had a thick coat and nothing bothered it. Not a dog i would want though, i prefer bolting and watching the lurchers run, my bitch catches an odd one, which i don't mind, but its job is to find/bolt really. 1 Quote Link to post
wirral countryman 2,110
I'm withTB25, a good walk and the occasional rabbit, I'll work it out one day.. I would love to see these dogs that always catchMy 3 Plummers catch everyday sometimes its only a few but normally around 8 to 10 or so,they smash any cover,no fear of nettles, etc, whatever is in there is either flushed to my lurcher or killed, there is not much gets away, once a terrier knows the game it is deadly,I have always expected my terriers to catch,WM 5 Quote Link to post

Flacko 1,742
I had a little terrier bitch 15 yrs ago look like a Plummer type strong but small about 10-11 inches she catch for fun never seen a dog out with us with the catch rate she had, it was like she snook up on rabbits then rushed them anyways wish I had her now, and she came from a pet home never went on feild till she was about 1yr old. RIP PEGGY . Quote Link to post

But the more I read on here the less I realise I now 1 Quote Link to post
