A man ( me ) needs doors made for the sides of his tipping truck so he says to the blacksmith how much the black smith said 500 pound then he says he needs a drop access kerb done which are usually 750 pound so I said I'll do drop kerb if you do the sides so that was the deal , the week after he says he's needing 2 drop kerbs done so I said I'll do them both for a grand ( me thinking I'll get my doors done as well because that was the deal in the first place So I goes in the office and I said that will be us quits, he said no your still due me 500 pound ,,, so that means I got a grand for the 2 jobs and he's getting 500 pound back , I'm confused how much am I due him if any thing ???

you quoted him 500 to do 1 job

he paid you to do 2 jobs but you need to pay for doors now or he would have paid you doors for 1 kerb an 500 cash for second lol

lol iv read that about 10 times Its making sence now lol ,I just couldn't farlem that out , hope nobody else comes up with a different way hen I'll be back to square one PMSL , Anne said I was due him 250 but I think your right cheers BRAINS LOL

You been on the Bucky Jim?

I thought I was bad at maths... But when theres money involved, I`m surprisingly accurate.

Forget about how many curbs and doors for a minute...

1000 (Curbs)

-500 (doors)

=500 (pocket money, yours.)

Would have been so much easier if he'd just given you 500 quid and the doors in payment for the kerbs.. Sounds like he learnt his maths at the same school you did Jim! I'm surprised that there's any confusion between two Scots when there's money involved though.. :tongue2:
