haymin 2,465
A man ( me ) needs doors made for the sides of his tipping truck so he says to the blacksmith how much the black smith said 500 pound then he says he needs a drop access kerb done which are usually 750 pound so I said I'll do drop kerb if you do the sides so that was the deal , the week after he says he's needing 2 drop kerbs done so I said I'll do them both for a grand ( me thinking I'll get my doors done as well because that was the deal in the first place So I goes in the office and I said that will be us quits, he said no your still due me 500 pound ,,, so that means I got a grand for the 2 jobs and he's getting 500 pound back , I'm confused how much am I due him if any thing ??? bobcullen79 1,495
You been on the Bucky Jim? I thought I was bad at maths... But when theres money involved, I`m surprisingly accurate. Forget about how many curbs and doors for a minute... 1000 (Curbs) -500 (doors) =500 (pocket money, yours.)

Malt 379
Would have been so much easier if he'd just given you 500 quid and the doors in payment for the kerbs.. Sounds like he learnt his maths at the same school you did Jim! I'm surprised that there's any confusion between two Scots when there's money involved though..
