20 Minute Dog

Recommended Posts

Do you think that if you had the room in the kennel, you'd keep a dog that you knew just wouldn't stay? For those really nasty, awkward deep spots where your heart sinks as you know there's someone home, or for when you need a quick bolt and be on your way because of too many joe public wandering about.

them 20 min dogs are spot on until that day comes when they choose to stay all day long and its always when they are in a big dirty spot on the edge of a football field or somewhere your not meant to

many lads are brought up in urban areas were its a luxury to be able to travel down the country for permission. Nothing wrong working terriers were you are brought up, that's what you do when your you

Always have one lost a good Russell bitch couple seasons ago stay till you dig or if it was dodgy you could call her out great for bolting get a lot done in a day and do some big spots most important

in all fairness they have there uses but to me they are cull i give one to a fella on here few year ago border/lakeland dog 20 minute wonder i bolt a decent number foxes with him but give him to a lad that didnt want a digging dog just wanted to bolt and shoot over him think i send him over in december the fella had shot over 50 with him buy the end the season

Would keep one in my kennel but wouldn't be my goal to make 1. There is some really big earth's around my way what a dog like this would be perfect for but it would never be bred from and would always be classed as a failed digging dog. Nothing wrong with keeping a dog like this you just have to be truthful with your self and everyone else.

I would fall out with the dog but if it is uses full why would you get rid? You have to way up the pros and cons for yourself. But at the same time you should only ever need 1 of these in your kennel.

Ive a little cocker x russle nearly 3 , best bushing dog ive seen, loves rats and has started dropping down in last 12mnts. Shel stay for bout half hour then comes up has a look round gasp of air and down she goes again. Ive got a fare few digs to her and im starting to realise the bolting capabilites she has and have had 2or 3 bolts of her. I know shes a pure cull to a out and out digging man but to me she just keeps getting better and better every day out. O and she can also be called out (eventually after few mins of callin) as i said shes a busher but starting to be a very very usefull little bitch!

Going back to the original question, could I own a 20 minute dog? No. Could I own a 20 minute bitch? Yes. There's no way I could keep a dog that was a cowardly f****r. With a bitch I could put up with it as long as I was getting plenty with it.

very good point to me a dog should dig whatever you enter it to
