To b fair the master mc Grath is the biggest joke nw at the shows!!! These dogs that run it and win it are full greyhounds. Wat ever happened two the WORKING DOG SHOWS!!! Full hounds should b at the t

Wat won it last year and u honestly would say dats nt a full hound?? If u say it's nt shows wat u know bot dogs 2 be fair...

RMAR - I think we have flogged this topic to death within a thread that started off about the whippets. I don't know the breeding of the dog in question but I was very sorry to hear it was stolen. I don't claim to be an expert on all dogs - not even all gundogs! But I know hat there is no one who could look at a dog and say whether it was full greyhound, 15/16 ; 7/8 possibly even 3/4 greyhound if the other % was whippet or another sight hound. On re-reading your posts I am sorry for being a little robust in my responses to you but reading Leeviews constant moaning always puts me in a tetchy mood. If you are at Shanes or Birr do stop to have a chat.

"constant moaning " why because you dont answer the questions I put to you, the sentences that have a ? at the end.

Rifle Men Are Roots is calling the same shots I have repeatedly asked of you but I dont get an answer because I dont go to your shows so my opinions dont count.

The racing at your shows Has anyone ever won the Master McGrath that was nt connected to you? ie part of the organisers team? accompanied you to Stormont to promote your shows? any challenges about these peoples dogs are vehemently brushed aside by yourself.

Judging the racing: Why so many judges on the line? and that incident where an organiser called another organisers dog as winner when the other judges called another dog as winner? Then you had the video camera scenario on the line?

For Now

Just a thought but why not have a race for 'full' greyhounds as well? I think it would be an excellent idea and a great spectacle, why should full bred coursing greyhounds not be seen in 'the field'!

If you look at the schedule we do !

This really is the final post to Leeview who has the audacity to sign himself 'Yours in Sport'' at the end of a post full of nasty and inaccurate insinuations. Yes I do think that because you don't attend shows in Ireland there is a real danger of you being totally ill informed as you have demonstrated here. Yes the first dog that won the Master Mc Grath was invited to the Stormont launch but the owner WAS NOT part of the organising team. AND the dog had been the top racing dog in Ireland and arguably in the Uk for several years. It won fair & square and no one has ever complained other than YOU! All of the other winning dogs were from the ROI and had no connection with me or the Shanes Castle Fair. The people who won the last two years I met for the first time when they won. I did see the dogs win fair & square and there were no challenged on the day so why should I reply to silly challenges and innuendo several months or years later. There are three judges on the line for the master Mc Grath including the Chairman of the Hunting Association of NI. I consider your comments and insinuations to be dangerously near to defamation and I will be asking the administrator to look carefully at them. There HAS NEVER BEEN A CHALLENGE to the result. It would appear that you have a very sad life indeed scouring the HL for any adverse comments to attack me and our events no matter how silly and inaccurate they are. You really should get a life. NOW this is the last time I shall respond to you except on a separate thread.

Firstly moaners will always moan! Regardless it has to be up to the judges and organisers on the day to decide who is elegable to run in any race. With the decision being final. I don't think kc papers should be used to decide entrys for the whippet racing as this simply excludes too many people and dogs. Surly the judges on the day will know a whippet from a small lurcher / longdog. The whole thing is supposed to be fun and can't be an exact science but as in any sport one must respect the ref!

I totally agree with Rmar here on this the lurcher racing is destroyed by hounds and did iv seen on face book people holding rosetts with 1ST place in bull cross bitch for flapping and resembleing notion of a bull hound pure greyhound why are these proper lurcher men letting hounds destroy a sport for proper lurchers and lurcher men I seen a few months ago winner of the master mc grath was stolen i no its bad for a dog to get stolen on you i have had a couple taking but he was a hound not a lurcher should have never been aloud race in tje so called lurcher race i was talkin to a man a week ago he use to do lurcher racing gave up cause of hounds he said if he was to run hes own hed put any dpg that looks smells and runs like a hound out of the fireld so why cants these so called lurcher men do this two

I agree with u Anto thou two be fair it's not up two the lurcher men it's up to the ones doin the show. But that shows u wat they no but on the other side it's all about the monie for them. I remember years ago at the shows and if this hada been the case the would of got there full hounds of them and told to fak aff. They wouldn't even brong them as there was no place for them at working dog shows there dogs belong at racing tracks for full hounds nt shows.. And Albert that's the point n this debate is that these full hounds are running and getn away wit it u as the main man of game fairs need 2 stomp this out. Before ppl get broken jaws!!!! Are worse...

I ment the men running these shows there ment to be the ones that can tell a hound from a hound thats what I ment by so called lurcher men but some can hardly tell the arse of a dog from the head only one place for a hound the track amd even the judgein is gone aswell picking hounds as lurchers and this ting not being able to a hound from a lurcher not rocket science I say all these judges dress the part but behind it dont no notion fact

Guys, This was an information post about whippet racing which we are trying to sort out.

Can I suggest you start a thread about lurcher racing and how you think people can tell a full greyhound from a 31/32, 15/16 or 7/8 sight hound. That should prove more informative all round.

Now albert you crack on to be articulate? Please show where I said he was part of the organising team?

Quote"Has anyone ever won the Master McGrath that isnt connected to you? ie part of the organisers team?accompanied you to Stormont to promote your shows?any challenges about these dogs are vehemently are brushed aside by yourself"

thats word perfect to what I asked of you and the above is your reply, truthfully where did I say he was part of the organising team? the owner attended Stormont and then won the Master McGrath not the other way round.

the last 2 years winners you say were nt part of the racing organisers? well in that case I'll apologise for that statement

Now about coming dangerously close to defamation please tell where that is? as all I've done is ask questions that you run away from a try belittle myself with your misquotes
