Meet The Gun That Costs Less Than...

Recommended Posts

The depreciation you will suffer walking out of the showroom with an HW77 or 97, maybe even a 95!

OK So what is it?

It is a Hatsan Breaker 900X.

What has it got? Open Truglo sights (the same ones that are on HW rifles now), walnut stock, 17 inch carbine barrel, built on cocking aid and silencer (yes it really is a silencer), single stage trigger which is similar to the one on the Striker, also has dovetails for scope mounts.

So here is the kicker the price. I have found these being sold at £69, yes that's right.

No joke. This is below SMK B2 Custom price.

It is a full power rifle too, not 6 ft lb. German barrel blank, groups well. If you want a gun for treating badly, well you can lose more money on a night out with the lads than the cost of this!

Now I am not claiming it to be anywhere near as well made as an HW, but certain HWs of late have been riddled with problems, poor finishing, swarf internally, badly chopped and finished springs, hell the other halfs 95 was full of swarf and buzzed worse than a bee in a tinfoil factory.

This little plinker is knocking out 10 and a half ft lb, grouping well and I just wish it had the Quattro trigger.

Precisely, you would not want to take a TX200, Prosport 77 or 97 with you if you had a permission where you could fish and shoot at the same time (one of my permissions does have a river running through it though sadly it is tidal and brackish), but this little Walnut stocked beastie would be ideal to put in a rod bag...

Damned thing only weighs 3kg, about 6 and a half pounds...

He sells them all:

The quality of the hatsan is improving every time, getting better triggers and quality control, really powerful rifles. The specs from Hatsan are what they say they are, not some claim made with ultra light pellets or similar tricks.

Really like the wood stocked ones, but think the " plastic "' ones are more practical when used as a throw around rifle

Just zeroing in at 10 yards, open sights, 6mm goup (.22 and windy day). Expect to get better than that now I have the Tasco 4x32 on it. I am trying to keep the gun in what I call "First Set Up" scenario for review purposes. Putting on a cheap fixed mag scope and taking it into the field. Will let you know how I get on.
