Zilverhaze 1,627
if you got the 3 best boxes on the market obviously moneys not a problem ... why you messing around trying to fix a old collar ??? Quote Link to post
THE GENERAL 1,982
if you got the 3 best boxes on the market obviously moneys not a problem ... why you messing around trying to fix a old collar ???The old collar is not broken just could do with a new casing. I would rather have it than the newer rechargeable one that is renowned to give bother. That's why I'm holding off hoping not to have to buy one. Hence the discussion on collars and spares. For your info I don't like the red brick and I'd personally prefer the peips over the Barryvox. Edited June 10, 2015 by THE GENERAL 1 Quote Link to post

A fella I do a bit with bought the new collar and box and had nothing but problems with it sent it back, still wasn't right and sold it on for £100. Strong Stuff 2,171
That was the appeal of the Ortovox transmitter, simple, tough and reliable ... Until the thickos got hold of them and started putting 12v camera batteries in them 2 Quote Link to post
steve t 949
my mates rechargeable doesn't hold much charge either, wouldn't like to depend on it if things went wrong, the battery ones keep going for ages. ive no o ring in mine but seal it with instant gasket, does the trick, 1 Quote Link to post
stumfelter 3,034
Don't know what you need exactly but if your just after a small plastic box to put electronics and batteries in Maplins do a range of project boxes in different shapes and sizes, hope this helps. 1 Quote Link to post
THE GENERAL 1,982
This why I prefer the battery collar, once the red light starts to blink I know it's time for a new battery. No hassle or worry. Change the battery and carryon. Quote Link to post
Zilverhaze 1,627
It's a mad one that lads I whuld be sending.them straight back to bellman ther pretty helpful.. it's a obvious fault with the collar,, my 3 work perfect hold charge for ages I get a good few outings from single collar with a overnight charge when it goes red Quote Link to post

I wouldn't chance it, it could vary on the type of battery. First chance I get when it indicates a low battery, I change it. Quote Link to post
