mally 832
I have my whippets insured for accidents only but don't mention you intend working the dog otherwise insurance is void. It only pays out a maximum of a grand per dog and is just over a fiver a dog per month. Its with healthy pets Quote Link to post

Though I wouldnt say my dog was chasing a rabbit when he broke his leg as you never know and there's no reason to mention it Edited June 7, 2015 by terryd Quote Link to post

zandy01 3,575
John Lewis do a 3 level insurance, think it's £10, £15 and £20 per month depending on level you want... I done quite a bit of research and they come out tops Quote Link to post

I done quite a bit of research and they come out tops I haven't looked at them. But how many vets are willing to deal with "John Lewis" direct? Most vets are happy to deal with pet plan and reccomend them. I'm sure there are alterior motives, handshakes etc. But I don't really care. I just know that the vets sort all the paperwork out and I just pay the excess. Little bit more for piece of mind ? Quote Link to post

Mally said petplan wanted £29 per month per dog, I was only giving a cheaper option at £10 per dog.... I've no doubt as long as dog is insured things would get sorted either way and if John Lewis pet insurance is 1/2 as good as there in store customer service then it'll be excellent and trouble free I would've thought.. Just my opinion Quote Link to post

I've got my whippet covered with the top cover and it £19 odd a month... Have any lads used comparison sites like GoCompare, money supermarket etc to search for pet insurance ??? Might be worth looking that way for quotes. Quote Link to post
