Nicepix 5,650
Wouldn't it be easier to find a better way of marking them so you don't lose them in the first place? You mean like printing maps off the Internet, laminating them, marking the the areas with noughts and crosses while on the ground and using a mobile phone as a voice recorder? Now who does that? 1 Quote Link to post
bryn27 89
This metal detecting lark is a highly skilled operation, bloody things detect more crap than enough until you learn to use the options correctly. I had a mate whose kit was £1000 + and we had a right slow game on to find 1 talpex. Would have helped if you'd remembered which county you lost it in south side of the stream is Co Durham, north side is Northumberland and the stream is 24" wide.do the sums yourself wise one. Really wish I was as wise as some try to portray themselves. Quote Link to post

Jeez I have a stalker!. Grow up you fool what works for someone else may not seem right to you. That is your prerogative but to try and ridicule online shows your level in my book. Now walk on and we don't need to communicate again ok. Quote Link to post
bryn27 89
Just trying to think back since I joined this forum if I'd ever tried to ridicule or belittle anyone? The answer is NO I have not and never would, I use the internet for research and gaining knowledge regards whatever subject I'm interested in.Some folk however like to use it to big themselves up from the security and comfort of their little cyber houses. carry on carrying on, don't matter a toss to me 2 Quote Link to post
shropshire mole 190
Regarding metal detectors - indeed you do get what you pay for, but saying that I have a modest Garrett ACE 250, Have found loads of coins, traps when i lose them, but helps if you have a rough idea of where you think it is. Finding traps can be a slow old game, depends what else may be burried where you a searching, you can filter out items your not looking for, and I will familiarise myself with the noise the detector makes when hovering over a trap before searching, that way you will be in tune with what your searching for. Sometimes I will metal detect mole hills, can find buried treasure that the mole has kindly found for you 1 Quote Link to post
