Firstly if your router is over 5 years old then buy a new one. They've moved on a lot recently and throw further and transmit a hell of a lot faster.

As tier el said you can buy boosters that plug into standard 3 pin sockets. Put one of those in a socket closest to your garden and you should get a signal fine.

It doesn't matter who your service provider is, you can plug in any make of router and it'll work. Just follow the setup guide that comes with it

there's two types of booster. One that will turn your electricity ring main into a home network so you can then plug adaptors into a 3 pin socket and it'll pick up your broadband or you can get boosters that you plug in a 3 pin socket and will receive your wifi signal and amplify it so it goes further.

The wifi booster does need to be within range of your router though and the further you boost the signal the slower it gets.
