Which Camera For Easily Placing Photos On The Forum.

Recommended Posts

Any camera is capable. Its your editing skills that need a brush up. Its easy really. Once you have emptied your camera onto your computer... (I`m assuming your using windows..)

1) Right click on the photo you want to resize for the forum. About 8 options down you will see "Open with"

2) Choose the option that says "paint".

3) Your image has just now opened with the paint programme.

4) In the top left of the tool bar, you will see a "resize" button, click this and another small window will open saying resize and skew.

5) On the right of the resize window, click the pixels option and change the numbers, E.G, 4567 to around 750 and click OK.

6) Your image should now have shrunk? Now, back to the top left of the tool bar, theres a blue little square with an arrow next to it, click this and you will see the option to "Save as" Click this and save as a jpeg, alter the file name, as you cant have two files named the same on a computer, I normally just stick thl on the end then I know which ones are for the forum.

And thats it, done. Your image should have saved in the same folder as the original. Use the one with thl on the end for the forum.

Hope this helps.

Bob is obviously a bit of a whizz with a pooter!

I tried a similar method but if I don't do it regularly I forget so now I use the phone to take pics, when I get home I transfer them to photobucket (only 1 button to press) then I can use PB on the laptop to pick what I want, it gets resized automatically so no worries. The phone camera is a bit limiting but no more than my eyesight!

Nah not really, I struggled with photo bucket years ago, used to just post numbers and links that didnt work.

Hi Mark

I think you just need to resize your pictures as I believe you can only have a certain size picture on this and many other forums. If you have any pictures you want resizing just mail them to me and I will do it for you in a jiffy. PM me for email.

Cheers

Mike

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of shit by the clean end.

1) Open a photobucket account.

2) Upload photos from your camera to your pc to the photobucket account.

3) click on the photo you like.

4) Click on the bottom box on the right, the one with the IMG label to the left.

5) Get to where you want to put the photo in your post and press CTRL and V, the code for calling the image in will appear and you will get a photo up with no editing!
