Bored of the rain here while I'm stopping at my cousins place up country managed to go out for a walk and cut this little ash fork dryerd it out by the fire when rain stopped and have been sanding it down for a short while now, what do you reckon I should stick of it flat or tubes and how do you think I should Finnish it, I have some Danish oil and some magogony varnish, planning to make another one from a fork cut at Appleby fair if I can find a good one.

That's lovely looking, enjoyable way to spent a rainy afternoon, nice one

 

Do you think it's a bit small, I have some spare flat elastic but never seems to last very long, might stick this on it, my own pocket poacher

Sorry pal, I mean if you fold the bands width ways and attach them to the forks, so you can use a nice wide band that will last a bit longer and give you a bit of extra power

Yeah I get you now, I'm coating it in potherine or how ever you spell it, just done one coat, hopefully give it a nice Finnish

Yeah look's like a good one i'd tab it though an then yer could use most all catty lastics ,flats,tubes ,squares etc ,but hey i just love tabs ,so was that fork naturaly that even or did yah adjust it a bit ?

Was naturally like that, I looked at a few but this was the only perfect one I found

And here it is now elastic from other catty as had a change to tubes, single bands Finnish in gloss mahogany varnish using a leather pouch from a old snooker table corner cushty had a shot with it earlier 12mm steel fires very well
