Snifferboy 659
Dog or Bitch? I have seen this come up before in a topic and the general consensus was the bitch was just coming into season, which that one ended up doing a couple of days later... Quote Link to post

beast 1,884
First, take the dog alone, NOT with other dogs. Terriers are particularly bad for grabbing prey off other dogs Second, do not under any circumstances get cross with the dog, you want it to be comfortable sharing your space even though the natural thing for a predator is to be jealous over its prey Third, if the dog brings rabbits back to hand but won't let go, you are almost there.dont try to take the bunny, just hold it gently in one hand and stroke and praise the dog, keep doing this until the dog lets go. Don't get to a tug of war, just stay calm. As soon as the dog lets go, throw the rabbit for it to fetch a few times, get the dog excited and happy, make sure it knows the fun isn't going to end just because it brings back the rabbit. 4 Quote Link to post
