We wanted to go up Ben Nevis when we were there but got told we weren't allowed as nipper was too young. We explained we had all the right gear with us and were fully prepared for the cold but they still said no.

Some lads at the same campsite as us had hiked up and camped near the top somewhere. The photos they showed us of the sunrise on the snow was amazing.
