We explained we had all the right gear with us and were fully prepared for the cold but they still said no. It was packed anyway with a constant stream of people going up in massive groups. so we phoned the campsite and told them we were going up the next mountain along anyway (can't remember the name). Was much quieter, we were the only ones at the top. bloody cold and wet mind you so we didn't spend long up there! but I still wish we had just said sod them and gone up as their was snow at the top of Nevis. Some lads at the same campsite as us had hiked up and camped near the top somewhere. The photos they showed us of the sunrise on the snow was amazing. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Cracking stuff, I must admit I've fell in love with Scotland. The scenery and scale of it is breathtaking.We may call into the lake district on the way there or back and climb Scafell Pike, then the kids will only have Snowden left to do then. 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
