neems 2,406
A few years ago I had the opertunity to go on a ghost walk in a old castle with a well known ghost program host. We where in Bolton castle on Halloween night and not much was happening. In one of the halls we stood in a big ring holding hands and she said will you give us a sighn... I farted and it was one of them that sounded like one of them single cheek claps - so this sounded like a noise from a ghost! (Supposedly) People gasped and said did you hear that!? It was my backside lol and not a ghost! I think my fart made their night! probably a story they'll tell their grandkids lol
ChrisJones 7,975
Alright, he is another for you lot. It was told me by an old, and recently departed dear friend (RIP old mate) So ken was out one night lamping foxes on the estate, and come the ealy hours of the morning he makes his way to the stable block for a cup of tea as he is freezing and knackered. Nobody else is out and about on the estate at night. Now to get to the tea room you go through an external door, throug a long narrow room with about twenty metal feed bins along one side, and then through another door to the tearoom. Both doors have yale locks, and only three of us have keys for both. Ken was drinking his tea and hears something like footsteps on the roof. He thinks it's just a peacock, although later he realises peacocks don't really walk about in the pitch black of the Night. Suddenly, he hears a god almighty banging on the feed bins, the lids slamming up and down working their way nearer to the inner door, and then the door itself begins to crash and rattle with such violence as tough somebody is trying to kick it down. And just as suddenly all goes quiet. Now as you can imagine he is t.errified, he grabs his rifle and chambers a round, and with lamp switched on opens the door. Nothing in the passage. External door still shut. The door is about fifteen yards way, and is the only way out, and the only light is his gunfight. He said it was the Iongest walk he ever took, and as soon as he was out of the door he sprinted all the way back to his cottage. Ken was a great talker, and he told me that story one afternoon sitting outside the pub over a pint, even in that situation The hairs on the back of my neck stood up. That sounds like the film Signs! I don't doubt that weird shit happens. I've experienced some that I just cannot explain myself. But ghosts...

Truther 1,579
I don't tell this one very often, can't explain it, but im not a believer in ghosts really. I was lamping a local golf course, without permission, about 30 years ago, i came to a spot with 2 fairways separated by some rough grass/small trees, i flicked the lamp on and in the rough bit in the middle was a bloke wearing what looked like a shiny grey suit, he had a collie type dog, funny thing was they never seemed to look back at me when the lamp went on? Being young daft i walked towards them, probably thinking it was one of the lads i knew, i only walked about 15 yards and decided to have another shine, not bang at him, but close enough to see where he was...........nothing, no bloke no dog, i swung the lamp round and he'd gone? Nearest cover was 100yds, no way he made that by the time i walked 15 or so, i called it a night and went home. I told a few mates about it and they took the piss, probably thought i was trying to scare them off taking the rabbits? Then i went back with one of them a few weeks later, we were lamping in the valley bottom, not far from the spot i saw the bloke/dog, on the skyline i saw something come over a brow it was coming straight at us, i thought it was a fox tbh, so we waited a while before flicking the lamp on, it was a collie dog, it passed right in front of us, never paid us any attention, probably less than 10 yards away, it crossed a small bridge over a stream and just carried on, we could see its breath, seemed to be wheezing a bit, but even with the lamp on it it just ignored us, just trotted past? I'm not saying it was ghosts, probably some reasonable explanation, but really strange, specially the dog when it walked past ignoring us, our dogs didn't seem to react to it either? Qbgrey 4,114
I lived on an Asian island and rented this rear maids quarters.I had previously renovated this old house for a cranky English women who had managed to lease it off the church as IG had been empty since the japs occupied the island for a few yes until the Brits kicked their arses.any way on more than one night I felt something pushing down on me in bed.sort off taken my breath. My mate was in the top bunk.I never said anything to my mate.just thought I was dreaming.so one eve we went down for a beer and food in an outside cafe.a guy and a few others got chatting and this oldish English fella sdked were WD was staying.I told him and he said oh I used to do my paintings in their years ago.he carried on,I used to fall asleep up their some nights if late but its haunted and something used to cover my body pushing down on me.,...fukin hell I said I've had that and me mate turned to us all white a said me too.I shit me self. And I'm always taking the pisd out of people who talk bout ghosts Edited June 7, 2015 by Qbgrey

For one start why would a "ghost dog" breath, and we could see its breath in the cold air, but what animal would ignore you at 7 to 10 yards when you put a lamp on it, and our dogs never pulled at it or anything, weird. Tiercel 6,986
The only odd thing I have had happen to me, and I would not call it supernatural. Every time we visited a certain farm no matter what time of night it was, there would be a chap that followed us around, he would come out of the hedgerow with a torch shining on his face making animal noises, then turn the torch off and disappear. Every field we went in he would do the same, well I say he it could have been a she for all I know. It did frighten me if I am honest the first time it happened, after that we just expected it and had a laugh about it.. TC

TC Why didn't you ask him what he was doing surely couldn't of disspaeared very far lol What was the point? It was pretty obvious what he was trying to do scare us off the land. When it first happened I put the lamp on him / her it had an old hat on and what looked like an old garbadeen coat tied round the middle he was standing on the hedge mound in the trees making animal noises with the torch under his chin.. He put the torch out and when I put the lamp where he was, (here's some welsh for you) there he was gone. same thing happened in the next field. Funnily enough a few years later was talking to some of the boys that lamped that area and they had seen him also. TC
