Springer Scopes.

Recommended Posts

Ok so I have the Nikon Pro staff 7 on my hw95 and it is sitting in a Sportsmatch one piece DM70 mount.

I have started to zero across the barn tonight which is about 15 yards. I will move the target out tomorrow to fine tune the scope.

This is the first one I have done as there were plenty of shooters on the farm where I do some contracting (Carpenter/joiner and builder).

I am working on another contract this week but am popping in after work and just setting the scope up without all the lads trying to help which is great but if I don't do it myself I will not learn.

BTW The Nikon is for me out of this world and teamed with my new hw95 is JTB.

My two pence is the heavier the better, but some have mint set ups with light weight 3-7x32's etc. Especially on a 99 for example. Your 95 is much between the 99 and the 80/98, so its a choice that di

I'm really impressed with the mtc genesis UL. For me, it's features are everything I need and no more. Think I'm going to put up a bit of a review on it.

Hello Pianoman I noticed you have a Nikon Field master, what is it like. I think of Nikon camera lenses which are great ?

Good evening

I have been back in the barns shooting down it's length which is about 26 yards.

I have not altered it's position from last night because it was quite close and could not tell weather it was me moving, I could only get them in a fist size group. I have come home thinking I can't shoot for toffy and the gun is just a jumpy little b*****d.

I hope I have a better night tomorrow.

If I had not had the loan of a really well sorted old HW97 that could knock the tops off bottles at the same distance I was shooting tonight I may well think thing were going ok.

Do you have bad days when it feels like you can't shoot ?.

Ok so it's Friday night and all was well. I must have been tired the other night and the more I shot the worse I got. I got to grips with it tonight and could even hit the targets free'standing although I had much more fun sitting down.

After a lot of humming and hawing, have just ordered a Nikon EFR 3-9x40. Was a toss up between that and the Mamba Light (well reviewed, but was not sure how I'd get on with the busy reticule). Thanks for everyone's comments and advice on this topic - has been very helpful.

When you start using the Nikon you will be pleased you got it. I was.

The BDC set up is nice to look through and it dose not block your view.
