Popular Post J Darcy 5,871
I had a day of fishing yesterday on a large stillwater that hasn't really been coarse fished much before. I targeted perch with a variety of soft lures and ended with four, the biggest was 3lb 8 ozs and a real beauty. The photo doesn't do it justice. However, I lost well over £50 worth of lures as this water is unbelievably snaggy. Seriously thinking of getting a float tube to get past the snags. My fishing buddy had some bad luck, he was drop-shot fishing and lost everything he hoked, he then got stuck in the mud and then to cap it all off snapped his rod on the cast. I'm going to buy more lures and get back out there! I want a four pounder... 34 Quote Link to post
Mister Gain 1,764
Well done, cracking fish Good luck with your quest for a 4pounder. Had one of 3lb 3oz some years back, by accident rather than design, on a light livebait rig after jacks. Quote Link to post

jonnie bravo 572
Love perch. Especially big battered bruisers that terrorize the local fry shoals! A 3lb perch is a very special fish, well done mate. Had a few 3's but never a 4. Can't begin to imagine what a 5 would be like! Quote Link to post
