Time To Remove My Testicles

To be a 'house husband', you need to be with the right woman.

My good friend gave up working full time to look after his four young children, due to his wife wanting to persue her career.

At first it went well, but over time his wife became resentful of his perceived amount of free time, which was not really the case as the kids, horses, dogs and house was well maintained.

In time she began to view him as basically a parasite, forgetting all of his financial input during previous years.

With a woman, emotion often overrides logical thought and reality, she had, in her mind a bloke at home who was little use to her, and completely dispensable.

So wind the clock forward a few years and my mate is in his 40's, living in his mums spare room. 70% gross of everything he earns is taken as tax and child maintenance. Unless he meets a woman with a house, he will be living this way for the foreseeable future.

His wife in contrast, is living in which was there £500,000 house with the bloke she met at work.

To make matters worse she is a very poor and cold mother and only wanted the children to keep the house, so he has had to stand by and watch his children suffer as well.

I guess it is a scenario that has been played out a million times in this country.

Maybe she was always deep down a horrible c**t, I could tell she lacked visible affection for the children, but I was not there all the time and things are quite chaotic with that many children anyway.

she, she will get what she deserves. No one can do such a thing and not have a nice slice of karma hit them right between the eyes!

What an absolute rotten to the core - BITCH.

Yep a first class cnut!............I bet she would of fcuked him over in the end anyway, regardless of the situation.......

You gotta be with the right one..........for it to go the distance under any circumstances........

spot on

It's women like that pr*ck who gives the rest of us a bad name.

I don't think it is an inevitable outcome. I may be in a stay at home situation myself in a few years, with my girlfriend. She has a better career than me as a scientist. Plus I can work more flexibly being self employed.

It doesn't concern me because she is a very rational and kind person.

maybe thats because now you behave like a man should,if you became a stay at home parent while she provided for the family the whole relationship would change imo.

2 very important things to remember

1.ALL women are crazy, they just dont all show it day to day.

2.if you lose your purpose you'll change as a person.

What a load of bollocks hahaha..........my mrs earns over three times what I could ever hope to earn out here, she had the career before we got married, it was a no brainer! & our relationship couldn't be any better, plus I'm a brilliant cook haha...

Besides.....if you can manage it, a parent doing the rearing rather than a crèche is ALWAYS the best way forward.

money isnt everything, when a man doesnt have a career or passion to occupy him he becomes like a bored housewife imo

boring, bitchy, jealous and overly concerned with irrelevent shit, leave it to the women

Bang on money isn't everything! we were both working before the nipper & I carried on during my wife's six months of maternity........in fairness the crèche was less than I earned, but not much, so my wife suggested I take over & it worked out great.........less money=very happy

I've never had a career, basically just manual labour......but many passions in life, which I now have more time to think about & pursue......

Letting pride get in the way of what's best for your family is ludicrous mate ;-)

Iprobably could earn as much as my mrs but it would mean hardly seeing each other which is what happened when we lived in yorkshire. We moved to cornwall on the basis that she would work full time and i worked when i felt like it. This works fine for us and she has never said a wrong word no matter how many times i go fishing or whatever else i want to do. i do all the housework [including ironing] and make most of the meals , but i do them when it suits me, if i want to go fishing i go without fear of complaint. If youve married a good un she wont turn into the bitch from hell she will stay a good un.

Everyone will be different and you should always do what's best for your family as a whole.

But myself I'd want to work. Think I'd rather pay for a babysitter that sit in with a bairn all day.

One thing I would hate was for anyone to think I was lazy.
