terryd 8,506
Had a go me self when the wife was in hospital for month with me three girls. Get the two off to primary sort the baby out then get house work done and every thing tidy. Get dinner prepped ready for the evening I had a little drill going. The girls used to moan about dinner being ready soon as they came through door and when I took them to visit there mum in the evening there was some comments about oliver twist not sure what that was about
shepp 2,285
Same here mate! I have six kids and by the time we've paid child minders one of us would be working for nothing! By the time her training a over we should be a hell of a lot better off! I have a few ideas for working at home cash of course. Your name should be 'night shagger'! shepp 2,285
To be a 'house husband', you need to be with the right woman. My good friend gave up working full time to look after his four young children, due to his wife wanting to persue her career. At first it went well, but over time his wife became resentful of his perceived amount of free time, which was not really the case as the kids, horses, dogs and house was well maintained. In time she began to view him as basically a parasite, forgetting all of his financial input during previous years. With a woman, emotion often overrides logical thought and reality, she had, in her mind a bloke at home who was little use to her, and completely dispensable. So wind the clock forward a few years and my mate is in his 40's, living in his mums spare room. 70% gross of everything he earns is taken as tax and child maintenance. Unless he meets a woman with a house, he will be living this way for the foreseeable future. His wife in contrast, is living in which was there £500,000 house with the bloke she met at work. To make matters worse she is a very poor and cold mother and only wanted the children to keep the house, so he has had to stand by and watch his children suffer as well. I guess it is a scenario that has been played out a million times in this country. Maybe she was always deep down a horrible c**t, I could tell she lacked visible affection for the children, but I was not there all the time and things are quite chaotic with that many children anyway.

Nothing changes there then. This underlines the way men are seriously mistreated by the courts during divorce proceedings, Financially ruined and emotionally destroyed. Its a major fault in our legal system that the lawyers don't want to approach cos it earns them loads of money.

robbo 832
Ihavent done much work for the last three years , dont have kids at home to look after but i do have my grandkids for two or three days a week. not just for a few hours i have to have them from 6-30 am to 8pm , sometimes sleeping there on a blow up bed because it isnt worth driving the 40 miles home and 40 miles back the morning after. I am knackered when ive had them but i have to admit its the best job ive had. i have more fun with them than i can handle but i must admit when im trapped in the house by the weather it can be hard work keeping them entertained. youll love it it mate but same as anything it will get on top of you occasinally.
