neil cooney 10,416
In the last week I've seen 3 litters and been told of 3 more. That's all probably in a 3 miles radius. If the midnight cowboys leave them be it could be a good Winter. 5 Quote Link to post
fat man 4,741
Lee why dont you walk your pup up to said earth and on the lead-chain see what he makes of it,see if he wants in or even show a bit of interest in it,wont do the pup no harm and if he wants in at least you will know he has a bit of drive in him. 3 Quote Link to post

Cargol 302
Putting a dog to the hole wont necessarily mean she will move them pal. They're is a spot I found a couple of months ago that one of mine marked, Went in a few foot and when I pulled him out a cub came to the hole. Just say they're a second and then went back in. So I left them to it and they're still there now. And there is several spots she could move them to if she wanted. 1 Quote Link to post

You've learned the terrier nothing Cubs don't smell the same as a fox! Even the best working terriers can be made to look stupid with Cubs! You may as well put him in a rabbit hole for all the good it's done o well mate sure stank of fox to me 1 Quote Link to post

jamie2004live 163
well lee the whole point of taking a dog to an earth and letting him have a good sniff is to mark and let u know theres summit home, the reward comes in letting the terrier off to do its job, theres no harm in doing this with and older dog thats got seasons under its belt. doing this with a novice that dont know the game is going to teach it absolutely nothing. and probably more harm than good pal Quote Link to post
