blackdug 90
had a conversation with my mates a few weeks ago about how much a good ferret is trully worth we all came to the conclusion about £50 if it was a real grafter that knew the ropes ,,cause latelly all i have seen are shit workers that are not worth a fiver or in most cases free.but there owners think they are ok workers..i would not sell my best jill ferret to anybody for less than a couple of hundred quid ,laugh if you want but that is what she is worth to me i have spent hundres of hours on her,,nothing worse than going out with ferrets that don,t know the game ,,i know 75% of ferrets that will bolt rabbits but only about 25% that really get what it is really all about and that is after you have spent are fair bit of time on them ,,do me a favour dingle stop giving everyone the hand sign we are all into the same sport and if you think your ferrets are worth what you are asking then hold out for the right price ,,all the best
BIGPETE 0
WOW!!!! I am new to this site but not to hunting, shooting, fishing or trapping and I have never seen such a reaction to one reply to an over priced for sale item. Take a chill pill fellas. Me and a friend used to keep/breed ferrets, we had a converted portacabin with a huge external, caged run. All the ferrets were worked and regularly sold but £5 to £8 was the going rate. Not sure what it is today but £15 seems a bit steep, the silvers could bring good money but I can see where this guy is coming from though, I had some fantastic workers and to be fair £15 wouldn't have tempted me to sell em ! Regards to all, Pete.
kreet 0
i wouldnt sell any of the three ferrets i own just now one of them has never worked a day in her life and never will she is only for training my pup's and for teaching my kids she would never bite even if my hands were coverd in blood and stuck in her mouth and she plays with my pups and older dogs as for my 2 workers i would rather give them to someone i know and that i know will do them justace than sell them for any amount of money £50 thats the sort of stupid price people expect for a black eyed white or some twats for a silver when others are free my silver working jill cost me nothing i helped a boy out and he gave me her to get back into ferreting and my big albino hob cost me £5 and he is the best worker iv had since i was a kid . there like dogs no 2 are the same im sure if you acted properly then someone would be intrested in your jills but the way you talk to people were on here to talk about hunting not to make money and have an arguement . No worries Kreet, I am not trying to take sides fella, just expressing my surprise at such a strong reaction. The use of such language and other inflamatory text from any forum members would have resulted in bans from another forum I use. Other than that mate, which is only my opinion after all, do what ever you like, its nowt to do with me, I'm only here to enjoy the chat about the activities I enjoy. Pete.
