So how are the Irish suppressed by the English government now? The north of ireland is in there control, there army an police force rule, an are accountable to no one, an 99% of them have a big disliking to anything at all regarding irish nationalism, there currency is used here, there keeping the divide going between , catholics an protestants, divide an conquer an all that... Ireland is small, an should not be divided, it will prosper an suceed, united, an all the people will get on alot better.. No matter how long ago they came here, at the end of the day its ireland, not part of britain. Plus alot more money for yous lads, instead of finiancing the north. Northern Ireland's always had it's own unique culture, going back perhaps 20,000 years. If there's ever a vote,i hope Northern Ireland has the choice to stay in the union or become independent (i.e not ruled by the R.O.I).
Francie 6,368
Dont know about the 20,000, , id say 6 or 7000, in total, but anyway, the republics goverment are puppets of the e.u, no thank you, whole new goverment, for the people, accountable by the people. Francie 6,368
Come on were all Brits. I'm glad there's some fresh ones in the HP. I get on with all brothers and sisters from Britain. Tally ho Dont think so joe, check your passport, thats another falsehood, some people from the north of ireland, call themselves british, when in hindsight, on the passport, it says, great britain an northern ireland, just a ploy to keep all irish divided. Ireland and Britain were very densely wooded,so it's thought that Northern Ireland was isolated from the rest for a long time and had more in common with the Jocks who they could trade with more easily. neems 2,406
Dont think they were isolated, but yeah traded withscots, still ireland tho Geographically, yes. Culturally? Ethnically? They discovered Northern Ireland by boat, the general consensus is that's because they couldn't realistically have walked there,so by land it would have been isolated, and it makes more sense for them to have traded with the scots and welch seeing how they,as you say, were in a different country and would have access to different goods. we should keep the planet diverse if possible, not force assimilate any people. Who the hell is belittling anyone, some folk voted for independence, unfortunately for them more didn't. Will they let it go?, no. Once in a lifetime opportunity says Salmond, what?, once in a bluebottles lifetime is that?. He's gagging for another go. From what I've experienced it's actually the opposite of what you're saying, if you didn't vote for independence you're not a proud Scot/patriot, afraid, all that pish. When will the yes voters just sober up and realise the majority of Scots like being part of the union.

Truther 1,579
We're being played one against the other, divide and conquer, and it works a treat. Looking at these type of threads its going to go on a long time yet. Better to stop arguing among ourselves and realise who the real enemy is, but its not going to happen, we're to f***ing brainwashed.
