mackay 3,363
The majority of snp voters that want independence are left footers Probably the reason we won't ever get independence.....too many knuckle dragging queen lovers Therein lies a massive part of the problem, a section of Scottish society (we know which) would see the union broken up just to get a kick at the establishment/queen for their own religious agenda. All this pish we want to govern ourselves, manage and decide our own affairs is just that, pish, proven by the very fact the snp and it's followers are very pro Europe. I can't quite grasp the concept where the snp want to shake free from the shackles of Westminister only to sign up to an unelected organisation which is the eu and Brussels telling them what they can and can't do, defies belief. I didn't think religious bigotry was still so alive and well in Scotland.
truescot 234
Not only alive ,but flourishing under the new power snp has accumulated. Both sides don't trust each other and the divide hasnt been stronger in years. Snp are a vindictive arrogant party.Did you watch question time? A member of the audience dared to criticise the snp member and was shrugged off and told "bet you're a unionist" . The guy wasn't and went mental lol All you need to know about what snp intentions are us to listen to it's mouthpiece salmon "We will be a thorn in Cameron's side. Will rock Westminster to it's very core" So in laymans terms. We will do f**k all to better the people who elected us.were just gonna piss off the English and the establishment and eventually we will create so much hatred there be no other option but to split! BIGLURKS 874
Only nuggets I see are the ones who are playing right into the hands of the Tories and the Snp. Turning the two countries against each other. Very sad ,maybe it is time to cut the ties. It's obv the union means nothing to this generation. As for the snp not showing respect, I did laugh at that. FFS parliament don't respect anything the scenes in that chamber at times is cringeworthy! If you're kids behaved like that when someone was talking you woujd leather thier arses! Nah they have done a great job in disrespecting parliament with all there expenses scandals politicians in sleazy sex acts ,ones getting sent to prison then the latest child abuse cover ups! I'm sure there a few who will be happy the day we split,I for one will not! It will just weaken both nations. shame though as there's only one country that wanted to split the union and that's Scotland !we'll that's daft and perhaps your not very clued up on your history I'll name a few that have went independent Australia New Zealand America Ireland Canada Barbados The Bahamas Botswana South Africa Fiji Egypt India Jamaica Kenya Kuwait Pakistan The list goes on and on how many of them countries have asked England too come rule them again the funny thing I always hear on here is how many English men don't like being told what too do bye the eu and even hate the idea of being told what they can and can't do but for some strange reason they can't understand why a lot of Scottish folk want independence from English rule f***ing hypocrites springs too my mind

BIGLURKS 874
I know the diffrence the union is between the 4 countries wales Scotland England and Northern Ireland they sighned the union act were as the brittish empire is country's that were conquered but If your going too refer too the union of the crowns in the 1600s or the merging of the Scottish parlment and the English parlment in 1706 sure but in my opinion if there no diffrence between being conquered and having no say in a parliament that you've joined we're not in the acts of queens and kings anymore the people are now in charge on who we elect too control are life's and country and if you think Scotland mps have any control over what happens in Scotland just look at the number of English mps cos we are not controlled bye the queen we are controlled bye men/women in suits in Westminster and the ratio of English mps still out weighs the control of Scotland Ireland Wales

Scotland is ruled by the democratically elected representatives of the Union, just the same as every other region of the UK. Only difference being that you Scottish have far more devolved power than any other region and are getting more still. If you don't like the Union, fine, but don't make out you are ruled by the English and remember the English are as fragmented as the British. Even England was once Unified as one Kingdom from the 7 or so predecessor. Geopolitical differences still remain in England as much as they do in the greater Union. I'm sick of hearing about this oppression bollocks like there's only two groups in this Union. Edited May 29, 2015 by Born Hunter
mackay 3,363
Having tried and failed to secure a vote on independence, Salmonds contingency plan would seem to be to push and push till we piss the rest of the uk off and they tell us to fcuk off. Mission achieved by default.
truescot 234
There are only a minority who complain about English rule and being oppressed and they are easy to indentify ,just listen for the rattle of the rosery. For decades they have sympathised with the Irish and the terrible plight they faced at the hands of the English (f***ing idiots Scottish regiments were @the forefront of the troubles) and many died! So please do not allign me with that shower. Yes mackay that's exactly what the snp game plan is,and if successfull what will be left! A country that is split in half! I've seen civil wars started for less! More so when the books don't tally and people are suffering financially. Hmmm wonder if the new Scottish parliament has a cellar lol Edited May 29, 2015 by truescot
