I have a chicken pen 6feet x 20feet and coop is on the outside of the pen which is 4feet x 3feet with 2 nest boxes . I have 5 novo brown hens and a bamtum cockrel . How many hens could I have in that size pen and coop .

Going by chicken standards :laugh: or whoever they are it's so much space per bird.

 

Do a quick google, I've got 9 in 2 lengths by one length either side of security fencing you know the likes of what builders use? But they get out to free range so I'm at a loss to think how many penned would be sorry.!

It's 1 square ft per bird In the coop I think... At night open the coop to see how much space is left on the roosting bar if there is enough space for another two ad another two ..the pen size of 6 ft by 20 ft is a good size ..I'd have between 8 and 10 birds in that space depending on being bantams or normal size
