FUJI 17,288
I was the same trigger I wasn't sure what the bitch would look like lol,I certainly never expected it to look like that anyways..she works with that "hyper" style the Springer's do,I'd prefer to see her steady up a little and be more thorough and she may do that as she matures and develops her hunting skills? Two Crows do you think a Cocker would be advantageous over a Springer when it comes to breeding a lurcher? Nice gesture of you is that buddy ? 1 Quote Link to post

Well watch this space mate,I will put an honest report up as I continually find out how this bitch adapts to various tasks and quarry over the forthcoming months..I find these "unusual" mixes quite intriguing and for some reason feel the need to try and make them something half decent lol 3 Quote Link to post
desertbred 5,490
Arcticgun of here had a litter a while back saluki x spanial (accidental lining) I believe the offspring are cracking workers for their owners. 1 Quote Link to post
trenchfoot 4,243
any one got one can use him no probs. atb two crows get him over a nice saluki x. If them pups can't catch on the straight, at least they can trip stuff up on the turn with them ears. 2 Quote Link to post

The ad read Lurcher and in the photo it looked stronger than a direct whippet/spaniel. Quote Link to post

Two Crows do you think a Cocker would be advantageous over a Springer when it comes to breeding a lurcher? Nice gesture of you is that buddy I've worked cockers and springers... If I was using a spaniel to breed a lurcher I would use a modern 'trialling' style springer. These dogs are athletic, fast and quite often not as heavily built as many shooting type springers. beast 1,884
Don southerlds great bitch lady had about one eighth spaniel in her.... Quote Link to post
two crows 3,342
Fuji I pick up about 30 days a year with my cockers the dog is home bred out of my old bitch to openshaws danderw druid who sired a cocker championship winner then won it him self. I personaly think cockers cover an area more thoroughly and stay on better . having said that to be fare I never owned a springer atb two crows. Quote Link to post
