madmac 0
Especially this weekend I think it would be a good time to tell folks about a service we can do for are active service men and women. While I know Molly has posted about the shoe boxes of goodies that can be sent out to our service men and women, Is any one aware of a similar service that is to help those languishing in hospital very often far from family and friends. Boxes of goodies for these folk can include a wee dram and puzzle books paper envelopes and stamps are all welcome. If you would like details of the hospitals that would appreciate these little tributes feel free to pm me. Many thanks MM

madmac 0
Great idea what can you send though ? Unlike those parcels sent over seas you can send small amounts of alcohol as well as toilettries and items that could fill the time of someone confined to bed. Puzzle books, letter writting stuff chocolates and other treats all appreciated. When the old man gets back from London this afternoon I will get him to give me the details again (legion member) so any one can participate. MM

Guest little_lloyd
Imnot one for charitys but im with Farmer Alex I would rather help hospitals ect in my own country then fuss over others!!!
Malt 379
These guys & girls are not a charity. They are our own, who have put their lives on the line in the service of their country. To give to your own is not charity. I agree with you though L.L & F.A, charity starts at home.
madmac 0
Many of these folk are gonna be there for a while and we owe them a few luxuries and the knowledge someone is thinking about them. They are the ones who make our country great
