Today's Ferreting

[Guest Magwitch]

Me Inan and Stubby had a day's ferreting on a new piece of ground today. Condition's were not good as it was quite windy to begin with and not many rabbits were in the mood for bolting so we had a few digs but only a foot or so. I showed Stubby my new despatch method and in return he show me his new catch and release policy which worked rather well, anyway here's a few picture's of the day

it was a brilliant day, thanks once again to magwich for the Invite, as stated the beginning of the day was a slow start, large area's were netted only to produce 1's ans 2's, which was why we had time for so many photo's,

again I scoffed my way through both magwich's and Inan's tucker of soup and sarnie's, so next time out lads, the pot noodles are on me

you cant help but have a good day, with Inan cracking jokes left,right and centre

have 2 nice fat rabbits in the house freezer, ready for dinner, in the week, rest in my freezer in pugs court

 

my catch and release method, we had a dig to a mark rabbit, only for the fert to move about 15", so we carried on digging and retreave a rabbit, I dug to the other marked spot, pulled a second rabbit out from same tunnel, thinking it was the pug that was following the pulled rabbit, it wernt, it was another, very much alive rabbit that shot pass me in an instant

Good going magwitch, I was out myself just to do a couple of small sets around a graveyard, whilst I was putting some traps out, wind was blowing a hooligan, knocking a couple of the nets off...my hob got a bit over keen and bit me when I dug down to him on a rabbit, little twat ...was an accident though, I forgive him
