Someone might put me right though. a pure bred perhaps. i cant and wont argue that. i know some do lure coursing with them in the states- the noble sport of chasing plastic bags in the park. it does look like fun though. but just wondering how an IWH/Grey or some other type of cross would do in a hunt. or if anyones ever used one for actual hunting and not just fun and games. OR better yet.. if there is some brave individual out there that is trying to restore the breed........ Quote Link to post

What, better than oh I don't know... a deerhound say? maybe it depends on the deer? doesnt look like they would work for the faster lighter weight deer... might also be a preference on the hunter's POV. some like this breed some like that.. trainability and all.. i dunno.. thats why i'm asking the experts lol Quote Link to post
Guest mush Posted November 10, 2007 Report Share Posted November 10, 2007 seen them run hare many times which they are much to slow for, but they never give in, would be to slow on deer to but should think they would make good pig dogs as they have great heart . A IW x greyhound would most likely look like a deerhound type. Quote Link to post

I think they have forgotton the purpose of most of their 'pedigree' breeds. recently in another dog forum some retard claimed that IWHs are better off in the condition they are in at this moment. better off with no prey drive because they make great pets.. then they turned around and insulted my bulldogs for being vicious guard dog types and how an American Bulldog bit some woman and traumatized her for life.... this person also seems to think IWHs are incapable of ever biting anyone. no matter what the circumstances.. do they not breed them with teeth anymore in the breed clubs!?!?
