terryd 8,401
so frustrating why should 60% of the people dictate what the other 40% can or can't do 2 Quote Link to post
desertbred 5,490
He is clearly towing the Labour party line that has been inked and decided with no public discussion , they clearly do not know the devisive way the Hunting ban was introduced on a piece of ill conceived legislation. The 8 million pound enquirey funded by Blairs labour Government found the ban would serve no useful purpose what so ever and would in fact lead to an increase in vermin which would be detrimental to mammals and birds So the Barnsley MP appears to hve no intelligence just a yes man for his masters 3 Quote Link to post
Neal 1,862
I know this has been said on here before but...why oh why do they always assume that all we want to do is dress in red and get on a horse and chase foxes with foxhounds? I live near a wood which has several dead trees (including mature ones) thanks to huge amounts of bark removal by grey squirrels and yet I have to make sure nobody's looking every time the kelpies catch one. And it feels as though nine out of every ten birds I see are woodies but, again, I have to check if anybody's watching first. Most people who want to repeal the ban want to do so for the "other" pest species and using "other" breeds of dog but all the Rspca and lacs and media paint is the mounted pack picture. I'm not saying I'm against that form of control at all but it's annoying how a majority of the majority are simply voting on a class issue or a cleverly orchestrated ad campaign. 3 Quote Link to post
paulsmithy83 567
Not that it will change anything for me but i can see when labour get in power again all hunting will be banned with dogs. This repeal has done them all the favours putting it in lime light again. 1 Quote Link to post

desertbred 5,490
This is the way antis and Lacs manipulate and misinform the public by this continual drip feeding of utter tripe . Notice the Powa.org.uk is a private LTD company this give them cover that should any body take legal action against them for fraud or deceipt they have a limited liability personally and severally fly c**ts. Bosun11 537
I wouldn't be sure. Most vote labour as a matter of hereditary principle. They have some strange belief they're voting for the working man or peoples party, when in truth they're all champagne socialists. I'd like to know how many hunters voted for the party that banned it! Lol. Never underestimate the masses or their stupidity. Political memory is about 15 yes I believe. I'd also say prepare for the era of the famous/personality leader won't be long. Spot on Joe (sadly!) Quote Link to post
Richynkelly 17
We need your help again: please re-lobby your MP View this email in your browser Thank you for taking part in our Hunting Act campaign and lobbying your MP. You may have seen reports that the Government now intends to amend the Hunting Act. The proposed amendments do not go as far as repeal, but they are a reasonable response to the current political situation and would represent a significant improvement on the current law. If the amendments are passed it would therefore be legal to manage foxes and some other wild mammals using packs of hounds by removing the arbitrary two dog limit. The requirement to take reasonable steps to shoot will, however, remain as it is. The changes would represent a significant improvement for many farmers and hunts, whilst moving the law into line with Scotland. We still believe that the Hunting Act needs to be scrapped, but in the circumstances these amendments meet the immediate needs of the rural community. The amendments are logical and evidence-based, and would ensure that farmers are able to decide how to manage the fox population in the most effective and humane manner. The changes may go to a vote next week so the focus is now on winning that vote. We need every single person who supports hunting contact their MP again and make their views known on this issue. Using this link you can email your MP, but please don't stop there. Forward this campaign to your friends and family and post it on social media as well. Please also send any response you receive from your MP to lobbying@countryside-alliance.org to further our lobbying activity. I cannot stress enough the importance and urgency of this campaign. We have just a few days to ensure our voice is heard and secure a better future for hunting.
