man o kent 269
How big a release pen would you need to put down 40 or 50 birds in a copse?
CushtyJook 1,097
Build it as big as you see fit, I'm not good with sizes or measurements etc, but I used to work full time as a keeper and still help a friend out on his private shoot, make it as big as you can as you might want to up the amount of birds you put to wood in the future. If it's only a small copse then don't use anymore than half the copse.
butcherboy 68
The GWCT recommends "We recommend that no more than one third of the total woodland on a shoot should be enclosed by release pen"
billyhunter 0
Make it bigger than you currently need, there's always a time in the near future when you'll want to add more and won't have the space to do so.
