Bosun11 537
There are some damn good running dog men on this site from over your side. Have a look at their threds and i'm sure you'll find all you need. Quote Link to post
bullmastiff 615
Catahula cross greyhound maybe? I don't know about coyote but fox are bloody difficult to catch in cover with a running dog. You'd be better off with a hound type dog I'd guess? I'm sure several dogs together could stop a fox/coyote through thick woodland but one on its own is going to be bloody tough. Before the ban over here hounds were used to drive the fox from cover with running dogs used to catch as it ran across open ground. Rule of thumb, running dogs for open ground and hounds or terriers for cover. Quote Link to post

neil cooney 10,416
Funny enough, I read somewhere that the registered pack The Grand Canyon hounds have 2 or 3 couple of 1/4 Saluki 3/4 Foxhounds in their pack for when the Coyote breaks covert to pull him down while still hunting like a hound. Do a bit of research into their style of hunting. 2 Quote Link to post
