Strange Ones.

Since this terrier thread is getting boring and ive nothing to read at night I thought id give this a shot..what is the strangest thing that's happened to you or dogs etc while out on a hunt . Or where is the strangest places you have found quarry. This year I found a mother n cubs under the floor of abandoned house by accident no terriers or anything involved. Then checked miles and a fair amount of holes and on the way back walking up the lane we started on. my mates terrier was busting to get up this tree so what we thought was a squirrel or something poped the terrier up into what looked like a massive birds nest out poped a vixen that jumped into the lurchers mouth basically in a panic. Look forward to hearing some interesting stories.

Last year my digging partner died, anyway I went to he's funeral then pub after and finally home. I was sat not really watching TV And I was thinking of the digs I had with him . When I heard a scratching at the front door , I opened the front door to find a fox standing there looking directly at me . We stood there looking at each other for a long second before I give it "go on fook of !" He walk of slowly and down the street before turning giving a little bark and of down the street . Got to be truthful it put the wind up me a bit lol . It's never tried to get in before or since and only happened on the night of my digging partners funeral , strange one !

we were about four foot down in hard ground years ago when this feller came running up shouting, his trousers were half way down and his dick hanging out, we weren't on our side of the fence so we were obviously a bit worried, he went nuts telling us we shouldn't be hare coursing on his land, we had no lurchers so once we got him calmed down and explained what we were doing he was grand, he even invited us back for tea, needless to say we declined as at no point did he put his dick away, very akward trying to explain what your doing when your four feet down and eye level with his dick.

Years ago we were digging on a bank in an old tip when a car pulls up. We down tools and move further down the bank and try to be quiet. Car door goes and we heard footsteps approach. We're trying to be as still as possible thinking it was the farmer when we see a woman at the top of the bank oblivious that we are there she does no more than hitch up her skirt and pipes out a massive shit. Last summer i was driving down a very bendy single track country lane it had thick hedges on either side,anyway 100yds in front of me three men were walking in the road,they looked like farmer types ,when they saw me they started to try get through the hedge but it was to thick.

I thought why were they panicking when they saw a car heading towards them ? I knew i had caught them up to something.

When i got to them they they tried to turn away from me and conceal a very life like "BLOW UP DOLL"

was out with the dogs early one sunday morning in a local forrest not a soul in sight so i decided to take a wee side track id never walked before, i got so far down and the dogs point blank refused to go any further so i thought wtf turned around and headed back the usual way, it wasnt till later in the week in the local newspaper there had been sightings of a big cat in the same forrest so its as if the dogs knew? and wouldnt cross the path it maybe walked

only acouple of year ago whilst me and a pal was mooching through a wood, we decided to split up and i ended up finding a body of a missing old man, poor bloke had been missing for 12 days so it wasnt a good sight with the blue bottles all over him,

had a couple of things over the years one of the funniest was one morning walking a bit of rough next to a duel carriage way and a big fallow stag got up and tried to run across the road got hit by car and went up in the air about 10 foot and came down head first in middle of road me and my mate and my son grab dogs and head of the car is parked in a layby about 200 hundred away the lads take the dogs one way and I go back to get motor when I get there a Turkish minicab driver pulls in next to me and says please help I need police I said whats happened mate his car windscreen is all smashed front bumper and grill gone and all lights broken other side of road is at a standstill with this big fallow lying in the middle of the road the taxi driver says to me I hit big sheep I was nearly crying by the time I picked the boys up we were all still laughing about the big sheep for ages
