logan esq 99
hi gents, The Mrs is at the gym for a couple hours so i thought i'd nip out to the perm for a few. I've just changed the scope on the pro sport so o knew i needed to re zero it before i began to do my rounds. Normally when i'm zeroing the scope when its been on my r10 its only took a few pellets and its bang on. so i grab a hand full of pellets put them in my pouch and i'm off. fight my way throu the road works on the A1( which seem to get worse each day) and get to my permission. now my perm has a hell of a lot of dog walkers some who i see regulary and stop to say hi so after chatting for 20 mins i start my zero session. I put orange sticky targets on a branch at 30 yards away. shooting of the top box of my bike resting on my day sack, i fire of the first round. go to check where it has hit as i couldn't see throu the scope and its hit high and to the right. another round and it misses completly, another again the same. so a few clicks down and few left i hit the target low and left. so like most of us i think two right and two up. then after another 10 shots still no joy 9 of which are complete misses. i'm like what the feck!! so i persavere and after what i reckon must have been at least 50 -60 shots its almost there. another dog walker this time is really interested in my bike, so not being rude we chat on for a good 10 mins, but the whole time i'm like why isn't this on zero already. Mr dog walker heads off and i crack on. pellets after pellets and it still got grouping well. THEN i put my hand into the pouch to find i only have 8 left. even after that 8 still not bang on. so after a tab to calm down i have to pack up and head home, with the intentions of picking up "MORE AMMO" but i get stuck in traffic on the A1 so what was only a 3 mile trip took me nearly 40 mins. by the time i get home i'm like Feck it. So from now on i will take more than just a hand full of pellets next time i re zero anything!! I text my shooting buddy and all he does is laugh. all in all bad day!!! atb. 2 Quote Link to post
