Rez 4,957
After a booze filled Saturday session with the Mrs, and dog, I woke up, hanging out my back door. I needed to get out. I woke up much later than I originally wanted too, but slept the hang over off some what. Got to the fields about 1'ish and began flirting with the fenman at different distances. With it all going well I decided to head up to a few warrens I know of with my 100. I find my shooting with my PCP's much better after settling in with a recoiling jobby. So I try to start a days shooting with one. It's took me a while to get used to the gas ram system, but God when we're both on song, finally, it's literally the most accurate rifle I've got... I can't believe I'm saying that but on today's targets I have to go with it. My first rabbit was taken after spooking FAR TOO many on route, and I missed the first shot, but the beauty of the swift loading HW allowed me to take a bangin second shot just under the eye. One of them shots you just know it's going now where. I carried on without luck around the whole permission and went back to my fenman and targets rather pissed off. A hour later off I went again after abusing the targets. First trip round, I knew where a few might have been, and dropped a second large one with another standing shot. I wind down my mag for standers to 3x (6x otherwise) and it seems to work well, with the real straight line the pellet goes with my set up. The next was took on the train line, it's out of use on Sunday's and find it yields well on summer kinda days with wind high up. The next was a loooooonnnnggggg stalk, again only to miss the first shot, I don't know why, I was so hyped up, as you get, that I was more wobbly than the night before. Second shot hit home. The last one shown in the images was on my way back to my target area, it sat just next to the one shot on the line. Didn't miss. So. I'm organising a currehhh night with all this... All you slags can consider yourselves invited, before the dog gets it all. I managed 8 in all, one I couldn't find, and two were wounded I hate to say it, but a quick ring of the neck and that's that. I didn't want to include them in the image, it didn't feel right... For some reason. 3 Quote Link to post
