Bosun11 537
A real sickener Jiggy. I hope the dog makes a full recovery. A dog of mine suffered the same injury over 20 years ago. Same circumstances too! That dog lived and lamped again. Running through forrestry, or any trees is dangerous, especially when a dog gets right up behind quarry and turns it. Its got it's eye fixed and don't see what it's turning into. Broke front shoulders and necks are always on the cards but low lying dead branches and stumps can tear a dog from earhole to arsehole and as you mention, the shock and infection can kill a dog. I hope all goes well. Quote Link to post
Phil Lloyd 10,738
Too right Bosun..... Running quarry in woodland has got to rank as amongst the most dangerous games to play... Sometimes a dog can pull his target down in double quick time,..and then it is a good scenario,...nice and secluded,.everything sheltered from prying eyes,..job's a good'un.. however...it is definitely a practice fraught with danger... Best of luck to your dog Jigsaw,...he is obviously a genuine trier... 4 Quote Link to post
