Smallest bitch I owned was 21tts yes she had all the heart you could wish for but this wasn't enough to over come her lack of physical ability,not being able to hold large quarry led to a second run which ended her unfortunately,would never of happend with a physically bigger stronger dog,big heart doesn't always win

In your experience,would you advocate a small un taking on the task that a bigger stronger un would advocate with far more ease and purpose,horses for courses and all that?.

a bigger dog would be better no doubt but for her size she does the the job reasonable quick she is just a we ferreting bitch but when accidents happen she can handle it with reasonable ease for her size

Its often the case that we take more satisfaction from a dog that does what its size dictates it cannot,than from what its size dictates is required from it,in reality we know a good little un,is often 3rd best to a decent bigger un.
