midnight 657
Hi guys I got a big order of wenge land on me a few months back . It's nice wood very hard and dark . I have way more than I want and have maybe 10 lengths suitable for stick making . Il get some pics and measurement up later . I've looked on the Internet and the closest I could find to them was a little shorter and about £15 each . Il offer them up at £10 each plus post . I have slot of shorter lengths to that are suitable for knife handles or laminating up for slingshots etc . Il sort through today and get the dimensions etc for you . I just lathe turned one and it's made a beautiful stick but it's more work than I'm willing to do for the vslue of the finished piece . I could have made 5 knives in the time it's taken to make this one !! Anyway , seemed a good idea to offer them here as I know you guys like making sticks etc
midnight 657
Gives you an idea of the lengths etc . The stick isn't finished I'm building up layers of Danish oil on it but you get the idea .
leethedog 3,071
I'm having 2 lengths of that hope it's quite square as I've got to round it by hand as I only got hand tools no lathe

midnight 657
Thanks fellas . I dunno how to make the wood more appealing to anyone . I can cut it up for other uses if you want . I bet a router would work wonders on shaping them up into sticks !

Thumb nail now has permanent ridges. Always seemed to hit it again just when it was improving. No nail guns in those days, just a fist full of nails and a claw hammer. Whats the postage on those sticks? I would think the length knackers it up?

Anything over that length will have to go Parcelforce royal mail. TC Edited May 18, 2015 by tiercel
midnight 657
I think they are 130cm so parcel force it is then ! I'd love a nail gun , no use for one I just need one ..
