No never seen out like that before personally i would have settled for a sighting of a rabbit today , not a sniff very sad i am :(

Should have come with us Kay Stubby was demonstrating his catch and release method excellent :thumbs:

Were the rabbits caught in an area with a lot of gorse on it? MT had similar occurance a couple of years back looked strange but tasted fine. appeared that the rabbits were stripping the bark on the gorse due to a lack of other food.

That is the same colour as gorse petals, but i think it looks more like a fungi you have there.

The rabbits FPO was talking about earlier were all caught on a very barren coastline where there was very little food so the rabbits were stripping the bark off the prickly gorse, they were obviously doing well on it as they were laying down good amounts of fat, but it was bright yellow through to very orange, i am about to start on those very same rabbits this coming week so it will be interesting to see if they still look the same, have not been to this farm for two years.
