charlie caller 3,654
Glad to be of service, of course I only advised you to get one, as they make a superb rest for a stalking rifle something we need to talk about you applying for in the future 1 Quote Link to post

Dr B 186
Hi Doc, how is the primo ? stop keeping us in suspenders lad ? Hi Mark Thanks for the reminder. At the moment all I can say is they seem great, and I've used them to take host of squizzers in the garden. Hardly demanding situations though....Next Thursday evening, I start a 5-day shooting break. I will be using the stick on my new rabbit perm and my existing squizzer perms (other quarry may fall foul) so will let you know. What I can tell you it this. The legs on the trigger stick drop fast and quiet. If they remain tied up at the base they make a really fast and useful mono-stick for those unexpected occasions. When the legs are untied, it is very stable as a tripod. Very flexible. I know lots of people make their own and no disrespect to any of you that are happy with that, but my feeling is, if you try these - you wont go back to your own sticks because its unlikely the ones you are using are as versatile, fast, quiet, non-clumsy, as these. They are light to carry as well However, next week will be the first real and extensive test of them. I will report back honestly on them....even if they turn out to be crap for reasons I currently cannot fathom. Edited June 11, 2015 by Dr B 1 Quote Link to post

bugg 84
I made a set well 2 actually one for the wife as well from the huntersvermin youtube; £12 total and they work spot on, anything more expensive would have to be something real special because so fat my 6 quid set do everything my friends £99 ones do in as much as they hold the gun firm, Quote Link to post
sussex 5,777
Being old as well I've tried most of the sticks available from the mono ,double ,triple all of which helped enormously .The triple I have know is ultra light weight that even folds flat so you can shoot prone ( no need for a bipod ) ...This is by far the best I have used in the field .......BUT ...during my forced absence from stalking I've been messing about with a set of quad sticks ( sounds perverted) and the results I got I can't wait to try them on the real thing ..Tried the rim fire first & found it really good , the 6.5 was the same absolutely rock solid , these really are the most stable sticks I've shot of .The ones I tried belonged to a pal of mine who parted with big bucks for them , around the £250 mark but are made from high tec materials and are fully adjustable ..A set made of wood are about £40 , make them your self it's the cost of the wood and time ..
