VWman 232
This all sounds like a job for a gunsmith not a tuner but fair play for having a go, just saying don't mean to be offensive. Quote Link to post
Hw100bob 0
No probs vwman well the thread started me lookin for a tuner or gunsmith to up the power slightly ! Then I decided to have a go but that's not went well !! I've ordered a full new hammer assembly so I'll put that in and take it from there ! Quote Link to post
Mister Gain 1,764
My HW100 has dropped 1.2 ft/lbs in two and a half years, so had a go at trying to move the anti tamper yesterday. Wouldn't budge, even heated rather drastically over the cooker burner until the assembly turned blue and still solid. Also, can see no way to dismantle the assembly to replace the anti tamper with a hex one. Quote Link to post
Hw100bob 0
Yeah mine is the same mate ! Think villaman has the answer tho but he's not saying lol lol ! I really like the look of the hex type but I've ordered the new hammer now ! Quote Link to post
VWman 232
In the old army films they used to strip the rifle down, clean it and put it back together in about 30 seconds flat. The good old days LOL. Good luck with it and hope you get it shooting nice again. Quote Link to post

Mister Gain 1,764
Thanks guys , well I took the hammer assembly out and heated up the AT with a torch I've had bolts,Allen keys, spline keys jammed in it and I've even cut a slot in the back of it for a screwdriver and it's solid it just won't move ! So I've ordered a new hammer assembly for it ! Hopefull get it adjusted from there ! Just ordered one as well, let us know how you get on with yours please. Once it arrives and I've installed it I will have another go at trying to remove the original again. Quote Link to post
Mister Gain 1,764
Hw100bob, don't know if you have encountered the same as me, but try not to allow the pellet probe/cocking lever assembly come too far out when removing the hammer assembly, otherwise you will need to grow a third hand to get the spring back on the shuttle and keep it there whilst replacing the lever/probe. My inexperience as a 'fettler' truly coming to the fore. BTW, my part still hasn't arrived yet. Quote Link to post
Rimfireboy! 1,463
Interesting stuff. A bit more fiddly than a Rapid though eh? lol....... Quote Link to post
Mister Gain 1,764
The new hammer assembly arrived yesterday, so I got straight on with it. Applied a little smear of fine sewing machine oil prior to fitting. First shot through crono was well over the top so gradually brought it down to 11.5 ft/lbs. Had to put about 150 pellets through it before it settled in, which I didn't expect to have to do. Just need to get my bottle refilled and re-zero the scope and chrono it again of course. 1 Quote Link to post
