Chuck Rock 18
I'm shooting 25mm straight cut (about 20cm active length) for M-8s. Nice and punchy. Also 30-20 tapers for lead filled M-8s. A lot of wallop but more effort making the ammo.
bigoy19706 276
i have jus made some 30mm straight cut singles going to try them
1Wally 204
I was using double 15mm silver with hex nuts a longish 40" draw and it worked alright. I only tend to hit pigeons with headshots or miss though which is different to killing a rabbit obviously.
bigoy19706 276
i think im just going to go with the old thera-band gold twin 20mm straight cut and 12mm lead been looking at them lead moulds on ebay
Chuck Rock 18
I'm thinking of trying theraband silver. 5m available for £15 on ebay so cheap enough. 25 or 30mm straight cut instead of the taper you mentioned? Edited May 14, 2015 by Chuck Rock
.338winmag 78
I picked up a section ,er well a package of this blue lastic looks as thick as the thera gold was wondering if any one could suggest a cut for it useing .445 er .440 lead balls for hunting ammo ?don't mean to bump in to yer thrad just thought it'd be better than starting a new one . Chuck Rock 18
Similar to thera and .44 lead maybe 30mm straight cut or double 20mm straight? I don't like doubles myself and like to fold wide straights
cattykid123 122
I use double 20 to 15 mm thera gold for squirrels and single 30 mm for pigeons
1Wally 204
Sounds like it's a preference thing. Like I'd always use double 15mm instead of single 30mm it just feels better for me. Had success with long draw single 25mm but it's not my favourite. It's a twat finding what works best for yourself ha
