Country Joe 1,411
Dog is going into kennels, needed a booster and kennel cough vaccine vet charged me £50.75 seems excessive to me as it was a booster, would have thought about £20 for the booster, so surely it would not be £30 for kennel cough do you think this was right.? Blackdog92 2,047
I was told by a farmer whos wife is a vet that all you need is the first 2 injections when there pups and the boosters are just a way of getting more money out of you. I kennel all of mine and never had any trouble with kennel cough
Country Joe 1,411
Thanks for the replies lads, as i said for years my dogs only had inoculations once as pups, and never had any bother. now i do have to use boarding kennels, up here the first thing they do when you check your dog in, is look at his vacc certificate, and if they are not up to date, as well as kennel cough vaccine, then the dog does not get in, so iv no choice. Vets bust be rubbing their hands.

Donna Wildwood 288
All they will check for is a sticker on the card (which comes with the vaccine) and a signature...... Should you happen to know any one (online perhaps) that vaccinates their own dog maybe they would aid your new sticker colletion?
