What's peoples opinions on good bedding for dogs to lay on in the kennel that doesn't gave them kennel burns?

Ive tried the lot over the years and my personal preference is wax shredded paper it can get abit messy in the kennel but aslong as they are washed and swept out daily it's not a problem

I've never tried that its hard to get good bedding that dogs won't chew etc..

I brought some vet bedding the other day any other type mine will tear to pieces usaly within a day but they seemed to leave this alone it's washable to

Same here. I'm now using vet bed. Dog doesn't chew it and you can wash it on a hi temp. Dries really quick. Other bedding I was using was giving his eyes grief. Fairly expensive but lasts.

I use matres,,,got two cot sized ones out of a skip where I work,,,put duvet on top,,,once there battered I will get some more

Normal dog bed in the summer and hay with lavender in the winter

I've settled on a product called "Ned's bed".

 

It's scented chopped straw. Dogs seem to like it. It's warm and dry. No nastys in it. It stays in the kennel and they don't eat it.

 

They shred and drag out any blankets or vet bed. Even if it's nailed down. They kick wax paper out and it gets all over the garden. Same story for the shredded cardboard.

old blankets from the charity shop you can get a decent regular supply for a very small amount of money. they can rip them to bits as for as long as they want cos the supply is endless
