Canary Breeding Question

Recommended Posts

Ok so to start with I know nothing about them other than what I have read recently

Someone I know was selling two white canaries think they are young ones. Also I suspect from the same clutch.

Also suspect they were bought from pets at home (guys more money than sense).

Fancy cage etc.

The male bird is a cracking singer hence why I bought them.

Well tail end of last year it laid eggs but they were either broken or ignored.

Now it had laid 3eggs in the bird bath and the hen is sitting on them constantly. Sure the male feeds her from time to time, but she goes come out to feed.

My questions are should I be feeding them any diffrently or but special stuff in.

Give them seed. Millet spray.cress, lettuce sunflower hearts. Boiled egg. Read it online about egg.

Sorry for wall of f***ing text but it wasn't my attention to be bothered with breeding them, but still want to do the right thing by them.

Will they even hatch?

Read somewhere that whites shouldn't be breed. Also if they are brother and sister maybe best if they don't hatch. f**k knows any advice be greatly appreciated.

Hey lads got a canary pan and one of the eggs broke .wasnt fertilised .

She's still sitting on the other two constantly the one that broke was one she kept pushing out.

Will there be a good chance the other two will be same ? Should I remove them?
