South hams hunter 8,921
If the guy is holding a british passport, then he is representing Britain & should be considered so.........he may feel more african & his parents may think that, but he should be considered british when representing the country......imo so despite everyone including him and his family knowing otherwise, he should still be considered British, because a piece of laminated paper printed by a treacherous government says so? It is what it is mate, it's only sport & he's got the passport, so why not?............I'm trying hard not to be a fcuking hypocrite here, because my son has a british passport, but he was born in belgium & he will be raised in belgium, but he'll never be belgian to me.......Maybe I should stay of this......haha.... are you belgium accip? If his mother is belgium hes obviously half belgium, half british]

neems 2,406
Neems i like your views on race and normally agree with most of what you say so id be interested to hear your views........with this Anthony Joshua is not English thing in mind..........do you therefore not accept any non white person as being English ?.......like i say im not arguing with you as your words on the subject hold value to me England is a nation, which derives from the latin natio and means a group of people with 3 things in common, race, culture and language. So no,not a single non white person can be English.

Guest Navek
Wow this has gone from from boxin to fighting to slagging match to paki bashing to gypo hating in 48 pages.. I'd like aj to win I'd like aj to beat fury too...why simple....because I don't like fury as a boxer or outside of the ring As for is aj British ... Well as I see it is yes he's British but is proud of his heritage/people (flag of Africa on his arm) As for furys I just don't like how arrogant he and his followers are......sooner he's put on his arse and his tribe realise there not the master race the better.. *The*Field*Marshall* 674
We are hitting on a broad subject here! I think it's all about terminology. When considering someone's nationality you have to take into consideration two things - Culture and Origin, both must be taken seriously, depending on your own personal disposition you'll either lean to one more than the other, I'm personally more concerned with culture than origin, but both are paramount. If a man is born in Britain, raised in Britain, has a British culture (broad as that is) represents Britain and has a British passport - whilst he may not have any claim to being British in origin, that doesn't mean he should be treated with any less bit of respect, especial given that fact he is wearing the Union Jack. If you go down the origin route alone you're going to be on slippery slope - is Carl Froch British? Hmm but doesn't he have polish heritage ? It's nonsensical. As for races, well, whether you come from evolutionary view and or creation one - we all share the same ancestor - for me, there is only one race, the human race. There are other cultures and ethnic groups, all should be respected equally.
