Wlad is the man to beat and then I'd say in the following pack you have Anthony Joshua , Joe Parker , Hughie Fury and obviously next up for Wlad is Tyson Fury. As for Wilder I don't rate him one bit, pure hype machine that got gifted a World Title. All the above fighters have fought fighters of the same calibre that Wilder has faced , but they've fought them earlier in there careers. Wilder got a World Title shot even though he had never fought one fighter ranked in the top 30 ( some reports say top 50 ). There is some great match ups out there to wake the Heavyweight division up.

Mick... Stiverne was a top 10 fighter when Wilder fought him (still is)...i thought the second Arreola fight was a good scrap and Stiverne was a good tough test for Wilder...just my opinion but have always thought Tyson Fury v Wilder would be a more entertaining fight than Fury v Klitchko...always said Fury has the beating of Klitchko and will make him look old...as i said before think its way to early to be putting the likes of Joshua and Hughie Fury in with top 10 fighters...whats the rush?...i think Hughie v price could be a good fight...clean up the higher end of the domestic scene before moving up...everybody seems to have forgot about Alexander Povetkin...he fights Mike Perez this weekend...see how the dust settles on the division after that
Read on Peter furys Twitter page he's looking to match hughie with manual charr, Ustinov or arreola in July time.
But Cushty...that cant be right Charr and Ustinov are nowhere near top 10 world rated Heavyweight contenders...you and Brookie promised us all...Hughies next opponents in July and September would be top 10 contenders...with Hughie beating Wilder within 12mnths..."heard it here first all bets covered blah blah blah"...Now Arreola would be a good tough test for Hughie (but he aint top 10 either!)...but Hughie getting set to fight in July and Arreola booked to fight in the U.S next month...so is he going to cut short his training by a month?
No I know I type top ten but it was a mistake, I meant top tier oppentents and char, Ustinov, de mori and arreola are all good challenges for hughie. I don't know when he's fighting or who he's fighting I'm just going on what Peter fury has said on Twitter, I don't have twitter but go on there occasionally to keep up with news.

Povetkin is also a handful for any fighter having only lost to Wlad,he's just kod Mike Perez in the first round. I'm sure Wilder has to defend the Title against Povetkin later this year. I look forward to that fight.

It's good that we have a couple of genuine contenders for the world heavyweight title be great night too see two Brits fight one for and one to retain a unfied title that make a great thread lol

I've followed Tyson from pro debut and despite certain aspects of him I genuinely enjoy watching him fight and think eventually think he will he a world title I think he is underated and a lot better than many think the fronts deceiving I think the best too come from him but for his age he come a long way

Anthony Josua I also rate think he good role model extremely powerful puncher when he finds the openings he deffo will improve as he steps up in class after his next fight I'd like too see him fight chisora or price maybe haye to be fair he could step up fairly quickly as could Hugie fury again chisora or price would be ideal

Tyson needs to get deal to fight klitchko or wilder try to unify the title

oh yeah an-ex drug dealer makes a great feckin role model

Yeh. What a scumbag. If only he sold alcohol or tobacco instead!

AKA BRINDLE

The only ranked fighter inside the Top 30 some say Top 50 that Wilder has fought is Stiverne and this fight was for the World Title !?!? So had to fight him. And to date is still the only ranked fighter he has faced. It is a disgrace to boxing how Wilder was gifted a Title Shot with out having to face not even one other ranked contender. To put it into perspective, Wilder has had 33 fights and in his 32nd fight fought Jason Gavern and in his 27th fight he fought Mathew Greer. Anthony Joshua has had 12 fights and fought Jason Gavern in his 11th fight. Hughie Fury has had 15 fights and fought Mathew Greer in his 13th fight. Have a look at Wilders record and it's easy to see how he stopped them all apart from Stiverne. Wilder is also defending this Title against an un ranked Fighter outside the top ten.

Edit to say he is defending against Eric Molina.

Your spot on there Mick...just when you said earlier Wilder was 'gifted' a world title...i was pointing out that i thought Stiverne was a tough opponent and no walk over...Hype is the nature of the Heavyweight business these days

Exactly. No one goes to give the pub landlord a piece of their mind when a loved one dies of an alcohol related disease or goes to the tobacconist to call him a cnut when a friend dies of lung cancer. But if you sell a bit of pot you are the worst person on earth. Some people are so narrow minded! The guy is a boxer, not mother Theresa.

hes never likely to either .is he ? fighting the mugs hes fought .i still have a laugh to myself over your attempt a couple of years ago when you attempted to compare him with joe ffs .you and are going to have to have a nice little wager on your AJ if he ever steps into the ring with either of my cousins ;) .

Who do you want to bet on then ? being as how ive already said i think Fury would probably beat him at this time.......why you think ive got any sort of loyalty to Anthony Joshua is beyond me  .....

When Calzaghe and Froch were being compared who did i say i thought would win between them ?.......come on son dont make sweeping statements and then fall away again like you usually do when your asked to back them up ?

And by the way i still have a laugh to myself about some of your statements re Calzaghe....things like " he never had Duff and Lawless behind him "......without realising he started his career off with who ? :D ....." mugs he fought " coming from a Calzaghe fan  ......when you hero worship folk its probably best to learn a bit about them first !

your just like a politician you. .full of it ,bulls--t. il dig out the old threads one day .thats if i can be bothered to keep replying to your crap .like i told you once before your a champion in your own mind on THL .as for hero worship ffs .take your ball in go on , :bye:

C'mon mate!!

I couldn't give a f**k what he's done personally, but I'm no fan of drugs of dealers..

I hope he goes on and becomes a world champ, hes swung his life around, and should be commended for that.

As far as being a role model for kids etc, that's not his job, he's a boxer, not sure why every sportsman has to be put on a higher pedestal

Made a few mistakes, turned his life around, put in hundreds of hours of training, blood, sweat and tears to achieve his dream.

Then goes on to hammer the Fury's. Lol.

Sounds like a decent role model for kids to me.
